Interim Procedure for collection of fees

All the payments from general public will be received in the name of Under Secretary (Cash), Department of Commerce who is also functioning as the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) of the Department of Commerce. All payments in the form of Cash, Bank Drafts, Pay Orders, Indian Postal Orders etc., may be made in the name of Under Secretary (Cash), Department of Commerce. However, the cash payments are to be deposited with the Cashier in Cashier Cell (Room No: 29A, Udyog Bhavan) of Department of Commerce and a receipt for the same may be obtained and attached with the application.

So far as Department of Commerce (Supply Division) is concerned, procedure for collection of prescribed fee with regard to RTI Act, 2005 from General Public is as follows :

All the payments in the form of Bank Drafts, Demand Drafts, Cheque, Postal Order etc. may be drawn in favour of PAO, Department of Commerce (Supply Division), New Delhi. Cash payments may be deposited with the Cashier in Cash Cell (Room No. 223, 'C' Wing, Nirman Bhawan) of Department of Commerce (Supply Division) and a receipt for the same may be obtained and attached with the application.
