Despite the high export growth rates and increasing share of the region
in India’s total exports, India’s exports constitute a minuscule part of
the total imports of the region. While the global imports of the Latin
American region are US$ 526 billion in 2005, India’s exports had a share
of just about 0.5% in the imports of the region.
