Area Under Rubber- 2001-2002- 5.67 Lakh Hectares.

Total Number Of Holdings 2001- 2002- 997871 Units, 4.99 Lakh Hectares. Holdings Of Small Growers-992341 Units, 4.60 Lakh Hectares.

Number Of Estates- 2001-2002- 307 Units, 0.68 Lakh Hectares

Natural Rubber Grades- Rss1-5, Latex Concentrates, Solid Block Rubber, Pale Latex Crepe, Sole Crepe, Estate Brown Crepe

Productivity Of Rubber Plantations- 2002-2003- 1592 Kg/Ha

Small Growers Constitute 99% Of The Total Holdings Acounting For 92% Area.

Average Daily Employment In Rubber Plantations

Domestic Consumption Of Natural Rubber During 2003 – 6.95 Lakh Tonnes

With Effect From April 2001, The Quantative Restrictions (Qrs) On Import Of Natural Rubber Have Been Removed

The Government Of India By Gazette Notification Dated 12th September 2001 Fixed Statutory Minimum Price For RSS 4 And RSS 5 Grades Of Sheet Rubber At Rs. 32.09 And Rs. 30.79 Per Kg. Respectively.
